BACKGROUND

Every government has its Secret Service branch. America, the CIA; France, the
Deuxieme Bureau and England, MI5. NATO also has its own. A messy job? That's
when they call on me - or someone like me...Oh yes, my name is Drake, John Drake.

One of the best of it's genre, Danger Man catipulted star Patrick McGoohan to international
stardom and became a firm favourite  with fans. Made two years before the first Bond
movie, the series followed the exploits of Special Security Operative John Drake, who
works for the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). 

The series was devised by Ralph Smart in 1960 and it started out as 30 minute episodes before
returning three years later with an expanded format and hour episodes.These new shows moved
Drake to being a fully fledged member of Her Majestys Secret Service and had him answer
to a superior called Hobbs.
