BACKGROUND

High expectations were gathering after Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant's The Office but this
brilliant and hilarious series wasn't going to dissapoint.
Extras stars Ricky Gervais as aspiring actor Andy Millman, who gives up his day job to pursue
fame in the movies, only to find he just can't land the big parts. Each episode is a different
setting and features cameos by top Hollywood stars including Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Stiller,
Kate Winslet and Patrick Stewart. UK support is provided by the likes of Ross Kemp and Les Dennis.
The series has already been commissioned for a second season and proves that Mr Gervais and Mr
Merchant can do no wrong within the world of comedy.
