Hot on the heels of George Lucas's space epic Star Wars,tv producer and creator Glen A.Larson wanted
to adapt a science fiction idea he had into a television series.It was one of the most ambious projects
ever undertaken by a network and the stakes were high.The story followed the exploits of a fleet of
fugitive humans who are escaping from their destroyed system after an all out attack by their enemys,the
Cylons.Commander Adama wishes to trace the path taken by their ancestors long ago and find the lost
thirteenth tribe on a planet called Earth! 
With Star Wars still hot property, the series has always been the ultimate cash-in on Lucas's dream
even to the point where Lucasfilm took Universal to court about too many similarities to his movie...and won. 
In 1999,Richard Hatch produced a 10 minute trailer with a few of the original actors in order to gain
interest and support for a new Galactica film.With CGI effects it will be interesting to see what happens
as Glen A.Larson is also wanting to make a big budget revival and claims to own the rights
...let the battle commence. 

The US Sci-Fi Channel is currently developing a new version of Galactica for the 2003 season. 

The Living Legend and Fire in Space episodes were released in cinemas across Europe
and titled Mission Galactica-The Cylon Attack. 

In The A-Team opening credits, Dirk Benedict's character The Face seems to recall from somewhere
the Cylon Centurion that walks past him. 

As most of you know the voice of the Imperious Leader and also playing Count Iblis is none other than
John Steed himself Patrick Macnee from The Avengers.

Hollywood dancing legend Fred Astaire gives a convincing performance as Starbucks long, lost Father
in the episode The Man with Nine Lives.
