BACKGROUND

I am Herne the Hunter and you are leaf, driven by the wind!

The definitive version of the Robin Hood legend. None of the romanticized Hollywood nonsense
but a raw and violent portrayal of Merry old England long ago.

The mystical take on the Hood legend with Herne the Hunter and advent of witches
and sorcerers was very much relevent for this time and is superbly executed in episodes
like The Prophecy and The Swords of Wayland.

This series has never been matched in style and the image of Robin on the hilltop in the
final episode of Season two The Greatest Enemy, stills holds as a defining moment in one
of the best fantasy shows that the UK has ever produced.

TRIVIA FAX:

The proposed fourth Season collapsed when Goldcrest went bankrupt due to the
financial disaster of the 1986 movie Revolution with Al Pacino.

Jason Connery is the son James Bond actor Sean Connery...oh, you knew that aleady?

Jeremy Bulloch of course has played in Doctor Who, but is still best known as the villanous
Boba Fett in the Star Wars films The Empire Strikes Back & Return of the Jedi.
