BACKGROUND

Sliders is a sci-fi TV show about a young scientist Quinn Mallory, who has found a
gateway to parallel worlds. While trying to make an anti-gravity machine, he accidently
creates a wormhole to other worlds.

Quinn takes with him Maxamillian Arturo, Wade Welles and accidently sucks in Rembrandt
Brown. During one of their first slides, Quinn opened the gateway to early, which fried the
pre-controls, so now they are sliding from world to world randomly.

Sliders is about four peoples journey to find their way home, always hoping that the next
slide will be the slide home. If any series had a chequered history, then this was the one.
Saved from cancelation by the US Sci-Fi channel it went onto to achieve five seasons and
talk of a movie (which is doubtful!).

An excellent concept show where almost anything can be written into the plots (provided
it happens in San Fransisco!).
