BACKGROUND

Clark Kent (Tom Welling) is a seemingly normal teenager living in Smallville, Kansas, a
town that was mysteriously struck by a meteor shower twelve years ago. Scars and secrets
remain in this town where the popular but awkward Clark struggles to understand his life.

Unable to keep the truth from Clark, his foster parents reveal to him his true origins and tell
him it was the devastating meteor shower that brought Clark to Smallville. Clark is tormented
by this news because the meteor shower that brought him to the world also killed the parents
of Lana Lang, his secret love. While trying to figure out why all this has happened, and what
he's supposed to do with his super-human body he becomes friends with the young Lex Luthor.
