BACKGROUND

With the pilot episode released in cinemas in England in 1978, this series would only last a 
mere thirteen episodes. Based on Marvel Comics wall crawling superhero, it beared little resemblance 
to the comicbook and each week had Spidey deal with routine crime capers involving kidnappers, 
terrorists or some hoodlam in a dark alley. 

A rather unremarkable series that failed before it really began...had a great theme tune though!
