BACKGROUND

The Tomorrow People was a Science Fiction television programme made in the 1970's.
Following the development of the next stage of human evolution into Homo Superiors.

A group of teenagers, known as The Tomorrow People, have developed various telepathic
abilities including telepathy, telekenisis and teleportation, they also have lost the ability to
kill. They defend the Earth from enemies, both human and alien.

The series was made as a repacement for Ace of Wands and was promoted as ITV's
answer to Doctor Who. It started out promising enough with some good stories and
scripts but through it's six year run it soon fell into panto mode and was just a glimmer
of it's former self.

It was revived in 1992 with former Neighbours star Kristian Schmid as the star but bore
little resemblence to the original.
