EDWARD FRANKLIN-HALL (Robert
Hamilton)
LORD OF THE MANOR
Pompous, commanding and touching
on mild aristocracy, Edward’s manner and personality are relics of the
Victorian age. He believes in a total class system with the working class
out in the fields, the middle class making there own money and the higher
class making a fat lot of wedge out of all of them. He was once married
to Lady Helen Franklin-Hall, but she ran off with the estate gardener ten
years ago and for all this time he’s kept up appearances by saying she’s
‘out of town! ’ Edward is totally against the plaque that has infiltrated
the village and will do everything in his power to get rid of these locusts.
He objects to Dominic Clay’s buying of the Milton Meadow site and turning
the village into ‘hippyville’. |
