MORRIS BLAKE (Richard Stoker)
RESIDENT

Morris studied Philosophy at Cambridge and in the USA, returning to England to teach the subject at Oxford.  About twenty years ago his outlook on life changed when he saw a saucer-shaped object hovering over his house: ever since then he has spent every spare moment looking up expectantly into the sky. Since retiring he has taken up origami and fiddle playing.  He is devoted to Mary, who brings out all his manly, protective instincts and joined the Friends of Ravenswood to try to make
her happy.

RICHARD STOKER BIOGRAPHY
Richard studied composition at the Royal Academy of Music, where he taught for many years.  He also studied with Nadia Boulanger in Paris as a Mendelssohn Scholar.  He writes in a range of musical styles, from classical to jazz and popular, and plays the piano, the organ and the cello.  His interest in acting has been lifelong, with special emphasis in recent years on screen roles.  He has played a wide range of characters: a tramp (twice), a clown (twice), an eccentric grandfather (twice), a busker, a fanatical preacher, a psychiatric doctor, a Victorian surgeon, a mental patient, a Tudor courtier, an ex-SAS man, a pub quizzer, a ghost, an antique dealer, and sometimes even a more or less normal person.  A few years ago he appeared with Michael Gambon in The Innocent Sleep; more recently he took part in an historical reconstruction for a Mentorn TV science documentary.  Richard also enjoys doing photographic modelling, voiceover work and poetry readings.
