DOGHURST HOUSE
The evening started at 8pm, the house and grounds are called Doghurst which is on the borders of Surrey and Kent near Limpsfield.
Some parts of the house date back to 1425, 1465 and 1600’s. There are extensive grounds with the house as it used to be a working farm many years ago.
Our team consisted of all spiral members but no medium which I think we could have done with as it give you that edge (Sorry Alan… wish you were
here). There was five of us in the group Marq, Annalisa, Sara, Kat and myself. I then introduced everyone to the owner who said we could have the
run of the downstairs and the grounds. We then setup the crew room in the kitchen and decided to keep ourselves to the ground floor of the house
as not to disturb the owner who was upstairs and spending about 30 min’s in each room.

We went for a walk in the grounds to start of with so that the team could get their bearings. We returned to the crew room and decided to begin
the investigation in the children’s play room just along from the kitchen. We tried dowsing rods, EVP’s and asking for different things but nothing
happened so we moved onto the oldest part of the house which dates back to 1425 which is now a dining room. I set up a locked off camera and we
all sat a large table in the centre of the room we began calling out and taking still shots but still nothing then we moved into the hallway entrance were
the front door now stands as it was somewhere else originally. This room dates from 1465 and has a large open fire place and every thing leads off of
this room as well as the stairs to the next floor. I have always had a feeling of being watched from the stairs but as with all the other rooms we had
nothing happen.
Following this we tried the main sitting room which has no floor at the moment and is in a state of repair and then we went into the grounds but nothing.
All in all the house and grounds a very impressive but for activity it was as if some thing wanted to happen but just couldn’t get going and with a house
of this age there should have been more activity the only thing is that it is a private house and there has never been an investigation there before,
so maybe the spirits were wondering what the hell was going on as well. Our thanks to the owner of the property and we all hope to return for
another investigation soon. We know they are out there somewhere…
