INTRODUCTION For Halloween 2007, the Spiral team hold a private vigil at an undisclosed location in Surrey. The property is now used as a Recreational Hall but the building itself forms part of a much larger area. The original buildings on this site were first used as part of a South Metropolitan District School, which was an Industrial School for children of workhouse inmates in South London. The site later became a Psychiatric hospital, before being demolished in the 1980’s and is now used as part of a modern hospital. With many images of light anomalies being photographed in this building on an almost regular occurrence, we wondered if anyone else would join us on this Halloween evening?
THE VIGIL This was always going to be a short vigil due to time restrictions but we were all eager to begin. The team have used this location over the last couple of years and always felt a presence that was unexplainable. We positioned a table by the back wall where the majority of light anomalies had been captured. In the corner, three coins were set up as a trigger object along with a locked-off camera and Ben was on hand to constantly take photos. Various call outs were made but all seemed quiet. Alexis though seemed to sense a man in his pyjamas (an ex-patient maybe?) who was curious at what we were doing. Alexis does not claim to be psychic but has been correct on information in the past. Various members of the team felt cold rushes but as this was their first investigation, it’s hard to determine if it’s all in their mind. Ben captured many light anomalies throughout the evening that was mostly concentrated around the table and team. Using an EMF reader, Marq checked the surrounding wall before handing the device over to Alexis. A high reading was continually emitting around Kathleen with Ben photographing more orbs around her but with time against us, we had to leave the premises.
CONCLUSION Although it was a short investigation and nothing much happened, it was interesting how many light anomalies Ben captured. We are still photographing these phenomena in the hall on later dates and wonder what this particular building was previously used for as recorded details are hard to find. |
