INTRODUCTION The evening started at 8pm with a talk from Phil Whyman and David Wells, There was a great group of paranormal people on hand to help with the nights investigation including Marq English (Spiral), Sara Woodward (DHN), Norie Miles, Paul Cissell (Medium), Nicky Alan (Medium), Andrew Grant (Medium) and the night was being run by UKPRS, The house is called Wymering Manor and It is the oldest house in Portsmouth and dates back to 1042. From the very start of the night every time I went into the main drawing room I started getting heart palliations and a spinning head, Other parts of the house were fine it was just when I was in the drawing room, Then after the talks we where split into three groups I was in group C and our first port of call was the cellars, They are split into three rooms but its not that big, all of the group went and sat around a table at one end of the cellar to try contacting a spirit with a glass on a table and I went the other end of the cellar on my own to see if I could get anything on camera apart for some light anomalies on the video camera and Phil blowing my ear drums as he set of the motion sensor nothing really happened.
The next place we were given was the top floors of the house which had about 7 or 8 rooms, I went into one room which had a sort of chapel room in one corner again nothing much happened apart from getting some Orbs on the still camera shots, I left there and went to the balcony area I was there for about 5 mins and Phil, Sara and Norie turn up they suggested the attic and we all went up there in the attic, there is a sort of priest hole, well it looks more like a sauna then a priest hole but we tried it anyway, Sara went in first and I followed, it was ok a bit small but after a couple of mins of nothing happening we left. Apart from Norie taking a silly photo of me trying to get out of the priest hole (no I didn’t get stuck, I just couldn’t stand up) nothing happened. We moved onto another couple of rooms but again nothing. We all went back downstairs to have a break and the last place our group tried was the ground floor, of which there are 5 rooms I sat in one of the rooms off of the main drawing room but nothing again. At the end of the night the groups told us what had happened to them some had knocks and bangs, light anomalies, sounds, but i only had orb pic's.
All in all it was a great night and the DHN team were again superb, it was great to finally get to see all the people I mentioned at the start. The Manor is a great place to do an Investigation with so much history behind it, the only problem I had was there seamed to be a lot of noise from the other groups, but saying that I think I should have stayed with the my group as they seamed to have more happen then I did on my own. If it’s your first ghost hunt or tenth give Phil Whyman’s DHN ago you won’t be disappointed. They certainly know there stuff. |
