Mark Fielding
began his career in theatre and appeared in many productions until his
role as the
original Draven
in TIMEQUAKE catapulted him to stardom. Playing the role for two years,
Mark
set the template
for future interpretations of the character and is still fondly remembered
for
this role,
despite work drying up in recent years.
After TIMEQUAKE,
Mark played the lead in the crime series DARWIN SHAW INVESTIGATES and
then in various
pantomimes across the country. He is a regular guest on the convention
circuit
and even returned
for a cameo in the TIMEQUAKE TV Movie.
He recently
completed his autobiography TIME ISN’T RELATIVE and returned to the role
of Draven
for the new
series Special. |

Rupert attended
the National Youth Theatre (with George Kirby) and played a few guest spots
on TV shows
before taking over the role of Draven in the third season of TIMEQUAKE.
Making
the part his
own, Rupert filled Fielding’s shoes admirably and many fans believe that
his episodes
were some
of the best in the series.
Rupert left
the show towards the end of the third season and immediately went on to
further
success as
the voice behind the McBryant Coffee Commercials. Since those days he has
formed
another successful
career as lead singer in rock band COFFEE IN ZURICH.
Rupert also
returned to the role of Draven for the new series Special. |

Dubbed the
‘George Lazenby of Timequake’, George only appeared in one episode
before the
show was cancelled
due to falling ratings. George said at the time that ‘it was just another
acting
job’ and then moved to Los Angeles where he has appeared in some big
budget feature
films including
FIST OF THE EAGLE, THE BLAIZE and OUT FOR THE COUNT 2.
George also
returned to the role of Draven for the new series Special amid tabloid
rumours of
a beverage
problem. |

Matt is the
only American to have played Draven and appeared in the one-off US TV Movie
in
2000 (bizarrely
though, he performed the role with an Australian accent!). Previous to
this, he
was the star
of another fantasy series SHADOW SWORD NIGHT FIGHTER, which he played for
three seasons.
In recent years, Matt has carved a successful career in Hollywood films
and in
2004 won the
Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor in the offbeat comedy SHELF LIFE.
Matt was approached
to appear in the Special but turned it down flat saying they couldn’t
afford him!
Dedicated
fans still debate in forums and chat rooms whether the TV Movie is part
of official
continuity
or not! |

Since the new
and improved TIMEQUAKE returned to the TV airwaves, ex-solicitor turned
actor
Adam Manley
has done the impossible and injected a whole new take on the character
of Draven. Dashing, charming and not afraid of dangling into danger, he
has rapidly gathered an army of
female fans
not seen in the show before. This is no longer a show for the Sci-Fi geek
and thanks
to Adam’s
successful portrayal, girls are now watching the show. |

David Moore started out his career
as an actor but after a couple of years decided that writing
was more up his alley. Writing for
such shows as THE REAL LIFE, GOOSEY, GOOSEY GANDER
and the soap opera ALL IN THIS TOGETHER,
he ultimately turned his attention to Sci-Fi and
created TIMEQUAKE in the spring
of 1989 aged only twenty-three. As head writer, he penned
nearly all of the series episodes
and after its initial cancellation, continued to pitch studios into
bringing TIMEQUAKE back.
In 2000, he turned down the chance
to be creative consultant on the US TV Movie saying
that ‘they had totally missed
what Timequake was all about’.
David got his ultimate wish in 2005
though when he was brought back as head writer on the
new series of TIMEQUAKE. He has
also learned to play the guitar. |

Richard’s background is in music
and was one of the founder members of def-metal band
COFFEE IN ZURICH. When the
group temporarily split in 1989, Richard moved into TV
production and became the first
Producer of TIMEQUAKE.
Richard served as David Moore’s
right hand man and over saw all aspects of the production.
Since the cancellation of the original
show, Richard returned to his first love of music and
reformed COFFEE IN ZURICH in 1996.
In a bizarre turn of events, the new lead singer was
none other than Rupert Shaw who
carved a successful turn as a rock star and the band
went onto even bigger heights than
before.
Richard has fond memories of his
time with the series and can often be seen as a guest
at conventions and lending his voice
to the DVD commentaries. |
