TIMEQUAKE tells the story of an alien time travelling entity known as DRAVEN. A mass of pure energy, DRAVEN uses
recently deceased humanoid bodies as hosts in order to move about in the physical universe (which is handy).
Working for THE ETERNAL BEINGS OF ETERNAL LIGHT, he fights any evil that has ambitions to alter the harmony of
the universe.

Possessing the ability to jump through time and use psychic power, Draven materialises whenever a crisis in the timeline
occurs. Along with various companions, Draven battled some of the universe’s most deadliest foes including Sharok the
Destroyer, The Kromac and the Time Hunter Trio and with the equilibrium of the multiverse constantly under threat, he
wages a never ending war against the forces of darkness.

The brainchild of TV writer David Moore, this innovative (and frankly bizarre) fantasy series premiered on 22nd March
1990 and was an overnight success, gaining excellent viewing figures and a dedicated audience. The original Draven,
stage actor Mark Fielding was propelled to international stardom and his amazing portrayal set the template for all
future actors in the part.

For two incredible seasons, Draven battled monstrous space monsters, temporal anomalies and aliens infiltrating time
before the sensational and shock firing of Fielding. Rumours abound of conflicts between the shows star and the series
producers (most notably with creator David Moore) that led to a decision to recast the part. Fans were in uproar and
a massive petition was formed to reinstate Fielding…although it made little impact just as the show was being sold to
the all-important North American market.

It was on 10th July 1991 that Rupert Shaw was announced as the new Draven. Shaw brought his own style to the part
and when TIMEQUAKE returned for its third season, many fans considered his episodes to be better than the Fielding
ones! Shaw stayed for nearly all of the season before announcing that he would be moving on and was going to be
replaced by his old drama school chum George Kirby.

By this time though, ratings had fallen dramatically and this wasn’t helped by fans who thought Kirby was totally
miscast in the part. But it was too late and the series was finally cancelled in 1992 with Kirby only completing two
episodes as Draven.

The series should have been relegated to the great TV retirement home but the fans wouldn’t let it go. Conventions,
Magazines and Fan Clubs were springing up all over the place and when the first two seasons were released on Home
Video in 1997, it went straight to the top of the charts and stayed there for five weeks.
This success led to new audio CD’s being produced (with the original cast) along with a highly successful series of
novels.

And then in 2000 came some unexpected news. Due to it steady growth and following in the States, TMX Media announced
that a new TIMEQUAKE TV Movie was in production starring American actor Matt Goldberg as Draven. A big budget, high
concept (and Americanised) version of the show, it did quite well in the UK but flopped across the pond (despite cameo’s
from Fielding and Kirby) due to its screening opposite the American Superbowl.

Since the hype and ultimate failure of the TV Movie, fans believed that there would be no more TIMEQUAKE. Although
there was still a very healthy fan interest in the show (the Official Timequake Appreciation Society reported record
members at this time), the general public looked upon it as some quaint TV series that was fun but a bit cheesy.

So no one was expected the news announcement in 2005 that a brand new TIMEQUAKE series was coming back to
television. It was a huge gamble to resurrect the show and nervous TV executives would constantly plague the
production all the way through filming making sure all was in order.

But the big question hanging on everyone’s lips was who was going to play Draven? After months of speculation
and tabloid rumours (names floating about including Paul Daniels, Alex Grant and some bloke of Big Brother!) it was
finally announced that Adam Manley would be adopting the role.

This proved an inspired choice and when the series premiered in 2006, the first episode earned record viewing
figures and turned Adam into a household name. With the new series ratings hovering around the ten million mark,
no one could have expected it to be such a big hit with even girls watching the show.

TIMEQUAKE is back and Cult Television will never be the same!
